| It is 3 am and my instincts told me to go on the web and research Avelox. I am having chest pains and left upper arm pain, I am totally scared because 6 years ago I had a heart attack. I am being treated for sinusitis and on my fifth day on Avelox. After reading all the comments I am totally scared and I will definitely call my doctor in the morning. I have had difficulty sleeping the past nights and also have noticed fresh blood in my mucous when I blow my nose. My guardian angel made me go and check this out or why would I be up at 3am and be on this website. Another observation is when I had my heart attack it was around 3 am. This prescription is SCARY, why would Bayer create something that might cause side effects such as all the comments coming from different people instead of making you feel better. God help us! | |||

| I just recently encountered a severe reaction to AVELOX. I too was given a 10 day supply and no where on the label did it say " AVOID EXPOSURE to SUN". So off I go suntanning and I have spent the last two days at emergency trying to get diagnosed with the severe skin reaction I have. The first dr. thought it may have something to do with an allergic reaction to the Avelox, and ordered me to stop taking it immediately, however he thought maybe I had swimmer's itch. The skin reaction was all over my body in the form of what looks like swimmers itch. Severe spotty itchy and swelling marks from neck to toe, continually spreading and driving me nuts. The second dr, assured me it was a reaction to the Avelox, not swimmers itch. The lesson to be learned here, is the pharmacy should have on the bottle label, "AVOID EXPOSURE to Sun". I would not be in this mess if I new that. | ||
