I've been taking actonel for about 2 years. I have had no negative effects from the drug. However, my bone density tests have not shown improvement.

Would appreciate receiving a reply (my mailbox) on the "initial reason" you were put on Actonel; if you had blood-calcium testing before being put on the drug; if you are/are not lactose intolerant; if you have allergies/not; anything else you wish to add; general agegroup and race; and "what now" your doc. is doing foryour problem (osteoporosis?), or if you really did "not" have a prob. before; did you take other meds; drink caffeinated bevg.s; anything else "useful info" such as did the "same clinic/hosp. do the initial-testing; did you "try to take up to 1500mg calcium and 500mg Vit D as mandated by this drug co. with Actonel," were you at all successful in cutting-caffeine...what types of beverages did you "prefer" during the two years. If you don't wish to respond to all of this...what is the Next Step your doc. will take to "build bone mineral density?" thanx, G.
