| I have been on Abilify for about a month now. I did a lot of research before asking my Dr. to let me try it. I've experienced no nausea, some insomnia easily taken care of with .5 mgs of Klonopin and one day I felt a little pain in my heart just when inhaling. I've also developed a very slight tremor in my right hand just when trying to write. Before Abilify, I was on Zyprexa and gained 25 pounds, quite horrendous when one is only 4'11". I also had to take another drug to stop the tremors in both my arms and legs with Zyprexa. So I feel Abilify is a wonder drug for me. I have not experienced the bad side effects that so many on this board have spoken about. Abilify has given me my life back, which Schizoaffective disorder was trying to steal away from me. Be sure and have your Dr. initially titrate the medication up to full dosage. I started at 1/2 of a 15 mg. tablet and now just take that amount at night along with 1000 mgs of Depakote Er and plus Klonopin for sleep. Life is much better now. |
