| I have had these symptoms sometimes 2 or 3 times a week: I feel faint, with a constricting feeling under my breast bone. No pain. I have worn a Holter monitor for 24 hrs with a negative result. I have had a stress test with negative results. Meaning no problem with my heart. My doctor recently prescribed Aciphex, to be taken for 2 weeks for this. Any comments? | |||

I have had the same feelings too. The comment is there is nothing wrong with you heart, but sometime I wonder if this is true. | ||
| Rhonda | faint, chest pain, nausea, | August 26th, 2003 |
| Hello, I too have had a squeezing chest pain/pressure, numbness around the nose and chin area, pain in the right and sometimes left arm, nausea, stomach pain and cramping, mild to severe heartburn, and a feeling of faint for approximately 2 years now. I also developed 2 lumps on my next as of June 13th. It's very scarey and sometimes makes me panic because I think I'm having a heart attack. I have had the three main stress tests, CT scan, two different types of gallbladder tests, chest x-rays, lung x-rays, several blood tests, and an upper GI. All tests came back great except the upper GI (last test received) which showed a hiatal hernia with reflux. I asked if the hernia could produce these symptoms and was told yes, sometimes. I was sent to a gastro specialist for possible esophogial spasm. This turned out to be negative. The gastro doctor put me on aciphex because the previously prescribed prevacid was not working. It's been five days since I started and so far the results have proven to be great. The tenderness in my stomach is starting to settle down. The doctor also prescribed me a mild inner muscle relaxer for the chest and arm pain to use as needed until I see the endo doctor. It really helps - one per day. The chest pain and associated symptoms still bother me. I see an endocrinologist (sp?) in 2 weeks for possible autoimmune dificiency disease associated with the pain and lumps. We'll see what happens. | ||
