| I notice your comments are dated in 2003. Where do you have your rx filled? I am paying $353 for 30 pills at the local Wal-Mart, the best prices for most prescriptions. I have been on Actos for 2 years along with Glucovance. My readings dropped so low I was afraid to sleep at night. I also experienced weight gain. In fact, I gained 20 pounds in 2 weeks. My feet and hands swell and I have to take some sort of fluid pill to bring them down. About 3 months ago, I asked the doctor to change my medications because of the low readings (once as low as 34). I was experiencing near blindness and extreme weakness. Once the Glucovance was changed to Glucophage, the readings stabilized and I have lost 20 pounds. I don't have to carry any sort of snack around and am doing very well. Sometimes a small adjustment of combined medications will work. Good luck. I still have some water retention if I do foolish things like eat salty snacks, and I do love salty nuts. |
