I am 51 years young. I have an identical twin sister and we had bone densities one day apart in neighboring towns. Her results and mine were identical! We were both diagnosed with Osteopenia then told by current guidelines, technically we have osteoporosis. She was started on low dose estrogen. I was given Actonel35mg. When we both go back for a follow up, it will be interesting. I have been on Actonel 35 mg for two months. As far as the Actonel goes, I do not understand the packaging. I try to follow the instructions, but end up fighting with the "drawer" Just put them on a flat piece of cardboard. The first two or three weeks I was on it, I had a dull headache the afternoon after taking it that morning. I think I bruise more easilly now that I am taking it. I hope it keeps me from shrinking or getting a hump in my back.
