| I've been on Benicar 20 mg for 3 weeks now. My blood pressure was up around 190/130 before I started taking it, scared me so badly, I went to the ER. Now my blood pressure runs around 117/78. I was on atenolol, it made me really ill, so my doctor put on on Benicar. I've noticed that when I wash my hair my shoulders and back get tired very quickly and today I had a backache between my shoulder blades. My heart rate is a bit high too, around 90 beats a minute. The first two weeks of the Benicar, I was a bit nauseated, felt like morning sickness, but now that is gone. I just started noticing that my foot is occasionally going numb for a few seconds several times a day. I am not diabetic, nor do I have any heart problems ( totally heart workup when I went to the ER. I want this drug to work badly, so far, other than the few side effects, I feel about 80% back to normal. Jenny | ||

| Has anyone experienced bursing after taking Benicar? I have had several occations when I have hit my writs or kicked something with by foot and they would swell, turn red and hurt along with itching. It goes away after several days but I have never been so likely to burse. | ||
