| I started taking Benicar (after quitting Cozaar) about August 13. I was also on a diuretic. My side effects first started out with a mild "buzz". Some nights the needles and pins would be so bad it kept me up till 4 a.m. I almost went to ER twice. (they woulda thought I was nuts I bet). I've talked to 3 pharmacists about this problem...and they've told me that people have complained about the same needles and pins. Tomorrow I see the doc and I'm gonna to insist I be taken off of this med. | |||

| I was on Altace (1 1/2 years on and off) and Cozaar (3 weeks) also. I experienced the pin and needles, tightness in the throat, indigestion, etc during taking both meds. When I would go off Altace and Cozaar all side effect would go away in 5 days, but BP would go up. After researching in internet found out that all my side effects could be from potassium levels . Hope this helps - your not alone!!! | ||
