Robert J.Petersenlowering intraocular pressureMay 12th, 2008Rating: Not Rated
I have narrow angle glaucoma. I recently began Azopt. I also take Xalatan in the evening. The Axopt morning and night. A recent pressure in the right eye was 22. The left 12. How much is the Azopt likely to lower the pressure and will this prevent optic nerve atrophy(of which I have some though not noticeable in my vision)? Thanks Robert Petersen

I have been using Azopt and Xalathan for a month. On 12/26 my pressure had dropped from 28 to 19 in right eye and from 24 to 17 in left. I have optic nerve atrophy in both eyes which impacts my vision to a small extent and have been having trouble finding medication that significantly lowered pressure. This is the best results that I have gotten.
