| I have reflux disease and resultant asthma. I was given Aciphex by my gastroenterologist; it caused severe epigastric pain, accompanied by panic attacks. Nexium also caused epigastric pain, but without the panic attacks. Only Protonix relieved the heartburn without very uncomfortable side-effects. I still get reflux; it's just not so acidic. | |||
