| I have been taking Benicar for kidney protection for one week. Last night I started experiencing extreme tightness and cramping in my ankles to where I couldn't even move my foot. I woke up three times with it and had to get out of bed and try to walk it off. Once walking was easier and the stiffness and cramping were gone, I was able to go back to bed until it happened again. I am a Diabetic and I realize that it could be that I've developed a circulation problem and it could just be a coincidence that it started after taking Benicar, but I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this since taking Benicar. | |||

| treatment for high blood pressure i was on lotrel and water pill pressure was still high about 3 months ago Dr. changed me to benicar and i have back and knee problems so i haven't been moving around alot due too unable to walk but now i started to retain fluid family and friends said i looked bloated even in my face and hands started to swell and feel numb went to DR and showed how swollen my feet were asked him if it could be from benicar he said no lotrel causes that i was not rretaining fluild when i was taking lotrel he ended with my retaining fluid is because i gained weigh and it couldn't be from the benicar i tried to explain that when i wake in mornin i looked thinner and as the day went on i would get more bloated all over i know i have to find a new Dr but please if anyone out there has experineced anything like this from benicar please respond i know i am not crazy. | ||
