My 10 year old has had all signs of psychosis disappear! After 6 years o f trying everything, this has been a welcome miracle. I know things may change down the line, but for now we are grateful and deliriously happy. | |||

| I was started on Abilify 2 weeks ago. I suffered a concussion this past March and my psychiatrist feels the blow to the front area of my head triggered a bipolar episode. Before I had never had a bipolar episode in my life. I am 43 years old and this is very hard for me. I am trying to give Abilify a sincere chance. Thank you for sharing your story. It has given me hope. | ||
| Paulette | Abilify recommended dose in children? | December 3rd, 2005 |
| I am happy to hear of the success your 10 yr. old son has had with Abilify. My 11 yr. old son has been on it for approx. 4 months. Not sleeping well, and no therapeutic benefits yet. He continues to be very aggressive, has become more silly and very unfocused. I would describe him as wound-up, more hostile toward his peers and angry alot. Can you tell me what dose your doctor has recommended for your son? My son is taking 5 mg. 2 times daily. He is also on Resperidal .75.mg daily. We are weaning him slowly off the Resperidal due to concerns with EPS. Thank you. | ||
