| I have been taking Actonel for about two years. This summer I have had this same problem - neck pain and sweating - day and night. I never connected these symptoms with Actonel until reading your comments. | ||

| I have been having horrible neck pain, upset stomach, night sweats, and diarrhea since starting this medication 6 weeks ago. I don't think I need all this agony. I'm not going to take it anymore and see how things go. Thanks for posting and I'm glad I found this site. I couldn't figure out what was happening! | ||

| Ditto the "no sleep" remark....I have to wonder when I am going to "crash." Ended-up going to bed about 6p.m. one night the first week...that "Really" screwed-up the bio-clock...as then, I "slept" and was "up" about 4a.m. The "caffeine" I have almost totally cut-out in my diet soda, is "not" as sleep-depritive as the Actonel (must be the Actonel, as never had a prob. "getting to" sleep drinking the diet-caffeinated soda, "at" bedtime.) "Neck" ("had" a prev. concussion, in my 30's (2 in lifetime), the neck has been 100% A-OK..."not" the last two weeks....it has "not"hurt...but, it is "snapping" and all these "sensations" may be due to how Actonel is assimulated into the blood-stream. Tried to find comments on that...still trying. C. | ||

| As a new user, I have only taken two of the weekly tablets so far and have some side effects noted by many others, the joint pain is the worst one plus additional pain in a back fusion which has implanted titanium rods as well. My major side effect is joint pain, minor sweating and chills, and I am wondering since today I have no joint pain will this wear off as my body adjusts to this drug? Like Hettie I did not connect the sweating periods with Actonel but I am in the age of hot flushes so still have no idea of the Actonel is making them worse but they are worse. | ||
