| I went to my Dr. for a sinus infection and she gave me some samples of Avelox. I always have side affects-I am very sinsative to medicine. I ask her what are the side affects and she said up set stomach or dirrea. That night around 8:00 I took the pill and around 11:00 3hours later I woke up startled and my heart racing (panic attack) but this wasn't like my usual attack I knew something else was wrong--I couldn't breath and my tongue was starting to get thick and I was tingling all over and I was scared to death--we live 35 minutes for a hospital. I kept getting worse and having had panic attacks in the past I keep thinking it would pass but it didn't it kept getting worse. I fineally had my husband take me to the hospital. The Dr. felt sure I wasn't having any reaction to the medicine but a panic attack. Two days later I take the pill again at about 10:00 in the morning just like before in about 3 hours it hit me again. It wasn't as bad because the Dr. had given me something to calm me down if I has another attack. It is the stranges feeling you feel out of your body and your chest feels tight and your throat fills like you can't swollow etc. I had not had a panic attack in 5 years and never like these they were different. So if you are a person who has attacks stay away for this stuff---I didn't find this web-site until I decided to look it up and see what the side effects were.
