| I was prescribed Avelox for a sinus infection. The first dosage was taken around 7:00 in the evening, did not sleep well, I thought it was probably due to the infection. Second night, took Avelox one hour before going to bed. No problem falling asleep but awakened to what I thought was the bed shaking rapidly (lying on my stomach). I quickly sat up in a panic state & asked my husband if he could feel the bed or room shaking. He could feel nothing. Quickly, I realized that my whole body felt like it was convulsing inside although my hands, etc. were not moving. The most frightening experience I have ever encountered. I took Avelox the next evening around 5:00. I felt a strange, flu-like feeling in the evening & had severe muscle pain. When I started to fall asleep, I felt like my insides were pounding again, almost like I was having a seizure that you couldn't see on the outside. I will not finish my prescription and I am calling my doctor tomorrow. I feel Avelox has caused this - I am currently taking hydroxychloroquine twice a day and maybe there is a drug interraction going on. Has anyone else had this experience taking Avelox? I would not recommend this drug to anyone. |
