| My insurance company will not cover aciphex until I've exhausted all other similar meds. Thankfully my doc gives me samples till this "experiment" is over. Aciphex has proven to be the only relief I receive from GERD | |||

| I have been on aciphex since July 2001. I was diagnosed with ulcers and a month later found out I was pregnant. I stopped taking it for around a month, unsure of effects on fetus, but was told to start taking again because I was so sick and couldn't eat. Felt much better after being on again. Around Nov 2002, my insurance stopped paying for it also. My doctor also gives me samples, which I would die without, because when I don't take it I am in a lot of pain. We have also tried other forms of medications, all to no avail. After reading all the above comments, I am concerned about what the side effects are and that Aciphex is only to be a "short-term" drug? How long have you been on and have you had any side effects? Do you know what they are? | ||
