I have had a fever since a week after I took this medicine. Is this common?

Default Fever with Geodon

Call your doctor immediately if you experience FEVER, sweating, severe muscle stiffness (rigidity), confusion, or fast or irregular heartbeats. These could be symptoms of a potentially fatal side effect called Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS).

I've been on Geodon for about 2 months. For 5 weeks now, I've suffered from a flu-like syndrome that includes fever up to 100 to 100.4, fatigue, headache, and malaise. The odd thing is that I wake up feeling fine every morning, go to work, function well. But then sometime from around 2 to 4 p.m. I start feeling bad, develop a fever, and experience chills and sweats. I've been to see my family doctor twice, and have had multiple tests, including chest xray, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Lyme disease, mononucleosis, etc, and everything has come back negative. White blood cell count is normal. I also have swollen lymphoid tissue in my pharynx that the ENT specialist said was probably due to this "viral" illness that I'm suffering from. Could the Geodon be causing these symptoms?
