Default novolog

My ftaher is taking lantus and novolog<br> he just moved in with me last month<br>and was taking both in the morning <br>he took 50 units of lantus and 10 of novolog<br>now he tells me he suppose to take 50 lantus in am and 10 og novolog at night<br>I need help here<br> he just got out of hospital after 2 weeks of being there<br>and I can not get hold of doctor about this change<br>it is not written on his discharge papers<br> the pharmacist told me he should not be taking the novolog at bedtime<br> please can someone help me here<br>

I am also taking Lantus and Novolog, I was told to take 4 units with each meal and my Lantus at bedtime. I hope this helps some.

hi i was just in internet doing some research on novolog myself. In my case it is for my nursing school. But if you are taking care of your father you should asap get the medication clarified by his doctor or another associate of his dr to know what is right. Medication such as insulin and others can cause serious problems. Take care and good luck with your dad.

he should take the lantus at night, because it is a slow acting insulin. novolog acts even faster than regular insulin, so that the drop in blood sugar can be instant.<br>lantus at night.<br>novolog during the day<br>should be right on the maufacters insert
