Default Quitting Tikosyn

I take 250 micro-grams 2x/day and would like to stop taking Tikosyn. My atrial
fib. was caused by alcohol consumption but it was to late that I discovered this fact and by then the episodic a. fib. had converted to a permanent condition.(By the way the a.Fib. started 3 to 4 hrs after the last drink.) Tikosyn converted my heart to a normal sinus rhythm. I'd like to hear from patients/physicians that had the stopped the drug and to share their experiences. (I am a pharmacologist so please do not hesitate to answer in the manner any medical scientist would understand.)All experiences are welcome and I thank you in advance.
