I have been put on this rx because of severe stomach ulcers, now have constant loose stools, and stomach pain, loss of appetite,is anyone else having these side effects? But it helps the acid reflux,so I continue to take it.Should I quit this rx?

I had these same issues in the first few days of taking Protonix. I would wake up with stomach pain (from gas), nausea, and sort of cramping. But my body seemed to get used to it, and I don't have any effects at all from Protonix except that it helps the reflux, but not completely. I am still sleeping sitting up, which I hate. And I can't drink tea, coffee, eat chocolate or acidic things or spices. Basically my entire diet. I'm better, but still wondering if there's something besides Protonix I could take to completely cut out the acid, especially at night.
