Default Myeloma

The doctor had told my mother that she has muliple Myloma do to the fact that her count of plasma cell is up to 31%, she feels great with no syntoms of any kind. The doctor recommended that she should take Thalomid of which that I understand that it has a numerous side affects, she is definantly afraid to start taking it. If anyone is taking this medication at this time please let me know how effective or uneffective it is. Or any other information regarding of excess count of plasma cell in the bone marrow.
