Default Provigil from outside sources

Is it ok to purchase from online pharmacies (like Canada, etc)? This stuff is incredibly expensive form my pharmacist (about $10/200mgtab) and I don't have insurance...Any word when Nuvgil will hit the market and about what it will cost? It looks a lot cheaper, from what I've seen so far.Thanks..

Default more to the point, is modafinil a generic name for Provigil?

One supplier claims that Modafinil is the generic equivalent of Provigil. My pharmacist claims that Provigil has no generic equivalent. Does my pharmacist mean that there's no generic equivalent that's legally on sale in the U.S., or that there's no equivalent, period? The internet has a rather wider reach than national marketing pettiness would allow for.
