In some literature I read that Starlix has a half-life of 90 min. Half-life is the time the drugs effectiveness is reduced by half; with other words: In 3hrs the drug is down to 25%, and so on. This will give you some idea on how long it lasts.

I just started it about 5 days ago, and I,too, get sleepy, at first I didn't notice it, just thought I was tired, it's not a sleepiness like you'd get from other drugs. But it's OK, I sleep better with it.<br>I have some questions - how long does it last? If I eat at 6:00 and want a snack at 9:00 - does it cover that? Also, if I am eating a very low-carb meal, do I still need it?
