Default Apathy/loss of emotions

Has anyone experienced while taking Celexa apathy and loss of emotions. My husband has been on Celexa for over a year and he has lost compassion and emotions of sadness or sympathy. He had originally started taking the medication for not being able to control his emotions, and wanting to cry. Has this drug changed him forever. He is able to laugh and laughs at inappropriate times.
