Default Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue

I have Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue. I took my first dose (100 mg) of Provigil (without food) this morning. Now I have a headache (common side-effect) and my neck and shoulders are very sore and stiff. Comments?

I also suffer from Fibro/CF and previously tried Provigil for a 7 days. After my sleep study I was diagnosed with narcolepsy and started Provigil (regulary) yesterday. I immediately noticed the lack of "wanting" to eat but am extremely hungry. I have been forcing myself to eat for the past two days, however, I have lost 3 pounds. Although I don't remember this specific symptom during my trial sample, I do remember the first couple of days being a little uneasy. The effects got better and in my opinion, being awake and having energy was well worth the side effects. Also, I believe this drug to be an "individualized" drug - meaning that patients need to work with their doctors to get the dosage and time to take the medication just right. Hope this helps.

Default provigil and CFS

I just came across your question on this 21st day of April, 2004. I have been doing some online research on the very same question, but to no avail. Are you still on Provigil? Did it ever "kick in" and become the miracle drug everyone else claims it is? I just started taking it today for CFS (100 in am, 100 in afternoon), and I feel worse than before.

Thanks
