Default thyrogen shots

Hi all, I have just read the posts here and I have some of the same concerns about Thyrogen. I will take my first shot in a few weeks and the side effects really concern me. I had a complete thyroidectomy in December 2003, and seveal lymph nodes were taken out at that time as well. The treatment of being on and off synthorid upset me more than having surgery. It seems as though the side effects of thyrogen can be relative so I wouldn't panic, and I'm not. If we beat it once, we can do it again. Keep your spirits up and think positive. Thank you all for sharing you really helped me out a lot today. God Bless!<br>

Default thyrogen shots

My 11 yr old son had thyroid cancer. His thyroid was removed along with some lymphnoids in Jan 2011. He has to take Thyrogen shots in june of this year and I am very worried about it. I`d rather his Dr. take him off his synthroid for 4 weeks instead of the shots. what do you think? sirena
