Default Gleevec assistance

My Mother-in-Law has been taking Gleevec for A year now and doing well. Up to this point, she has been getting it through a drug program. She has been told the program is ending and she has to get one of the medicare drug insurances. The best we have found so far still leaves her paying $1000.00 per month for her treatment. The only income she has is Medicare. Does anyone know of a better program or a free program?

Default Gleevec

If you contact Novartis, the maker of Gleevec, their toll free number can be found online. When I 1st started taking 400 mg. Gleevec there was no way I could afford to pay the copay since I am disabled and live on a fixed invome. They will send her paperwork to fill out and she can get it delivered to her house for atleast 9 months. She will need to sign for it. She can also try PSI, Patient Services Incorporated their toll free number can also be found online and I got approved for them to pay my copay. I hope this helps.
