i have been treated for exzema and acne forever and the elidel seems to help reduce the painful cysts i get on my face. can you explain why it works on the acne and if it is ok to continue this use? nothing else has worked to reduce the swelling etc. other than a steroid shot directly into the cyst. thanks. polly

I have also been treated for severe acne for years and years. My doctor prescribed elidel for me because my skin is very dry and rough due to all the treatments I have endured for acne over the years. The first night I used it, a painful cyst that I could feel forming under the skin just the day before had almost completely disappeared. I thought it was just a fluke but after reading your message, maybe there is an added benefit to using elidel.
