My doctor gave me some samples to try for my migraine headaches and it works wonderful. I have suffered migraines for over 35 years and today found out that my HMO formulary does not cover the cost of the medication. I asked the pharmacist about the cost and he told me it is over $20.00 per pill. This cost is too much for my budget, but I do need this. I only get headaches when the barametric pressure drops, so when it is Monsoon season, they are continuous. I need to know if there is a generic medicine that will do the same thing for me. I have Pacific Care HMO. I would appreciate any help you can give me. I have had CAT scans and thorough physicals.

I do have the same barametric problem and then some from an injury. Imitrex works wonderfully. And the best part is that if it is already throbbing after taken the first pill within 2 hours, you can take another up to 4 in a day. Usually 1-2 pills is enough if you catch the migraine early enough. Good luck!
