LoteMax safe for Viral Infections?

Greetings all,

My eye doc said to use LoteMax 2x/ day about a week after developing a viral (herpes) eye infection (which I've never had before).

I'm currently using:
An antibiotic eye drop
An anti-viral eye cream
A moisturizing eye drop

I still have blurred vision in that eye, and will now add a fourth medication to that eye. I'm to stop the antivrual cream in 2 days.

Question: everything I read about LoteMax said NOT to use it if you have herpes infection. I have to defer to the doc., as I've never been to eye doc before, and he does have pretty good reputation.

Should I use it? Or challenge his advise?
